To be continued

So I'm working on a big exciting post that recaps our first month as a family of four, but surprise, surprise, I just can't seem to find the time to sit at the computer for more than 4 seconds at a time. However, I've started to get threatening emails from the long-distance crew, so here's a little baby love to tide you over. Hoping to get back in the saddle soon.

Nora at two weeks (Yes, I know that was half her lifetime ago, but everything else has either already been posted or is still on the camera.)

More Nora

It's been ten days now, and it's safe to say that Nora rules the roost. Fortunately for us, she's fairly even-tempered. Porter, on the other hand, is finding the changes in the Burt home a little harder to handle. He loves Nora (and is very gentle and quiet with her) but does not love sharing the spotlight. As you can see, his strategy as the older brother is to simply be as loud and rambunctious as possible. Here's hoping this phase will pass quickly.

As for Nora, her first doctor's appointment went well. She weighed in at 5 Lbs. 14 oz., but I think she's gained all the weight she's lost back by now. She sleep like a champ and loves to snack ALL DAY LONG.

And one more close-up, just for fun. I know we need to get more pics up. Soon, promise - just trying to figure out how to juggle life with two kids.

We'd like to introduce you to...

Nora Lynn Burt

Born Sunday, January 4, 2009

6 Lbs., 5 oz.
19 1/2 inches

So far, she's a great baby. In fact, aside from the chaos of delivery, we've only heard her cry once since she was first born. We've no doubt that will change as soon as we get home and try to settle down for the night, but for now, we're enjoying the peace, quiet and cuddling.
