Anyway, aside from when the nurse wheeled Porter's bed back into his room after the surgery and he immediately started whispering "want a mama," my favorite part of the experience (are you supposed to have favorites when it comes to hospitals and oral surgery?) was when Porter repeatedly called the bandage that held his IV in place his "hambage". My least favorite part was everything else. Here's hoping this first trip to the "hop-sitl with a big crane" (they're doing construction on the hospital and Porter loves the tractors and the cranes) is our last.3.31.2008

Happy Birthday Andy!
As I'm sure you know, Andy doesn't care much about all this, but at least my crush on Hugh Grant has now been justified...they're one and the same (minus the poor behavior and multi-millions). See for yourself.
(The guy on the end is Jake Gyllenhaal.)

Chugga Choo-Choo
A little something fun for your Friday.
(I think you have to hit the play button twice.)
Have a great weekend!

Another Pick (and Yours)

Why do I love the magic erasers?
Andy walked into the kitchen the other day, and Porter was standing at the pantry door with one of his new crayons. He looked at Andy, smiled and then turned back to his masterpiece, explaining "door, pur-po."
Looks like we need to find a new spot to store the art supplies.
In the meantime, here are some of the mom picks from our friends:
Kid-Friendly Instruments (they come stuffed inside a drum)
Crayola Color Magic Marker & Books (sounds like we need these--the markers only color on the special Crayola paper...no doors, no walls, no clothes, no mess)
Finger painting with pudding on wax paper (edible, washing machine-friendly and delicious)
Keep those suggestions coming!
