Better known as Hattie.
Our sweet little girl.
Also known as:
Miss Hattie and Blaarf Baby, by her big sister;
Hatters (by her big brother);
Hattie Anne (by her mommy) or, simply, Harriett (by her daddy).
Born at 9:32 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2013
7 lbs. 1 oz.
19 inches long
(Though the doctor says they must have measured wrong a birth, as it's highly unlikely that she's grown 2.5 inches in two weeks—especially because she hasn't been a great eater.)
We are over the moon, even at 1:30, 3:15 and 4:50 in the morning.

Please forgive the belated announcement, now 2 1/2 weeks in to our life with three little Burts. It's been so long, we feel a bit like first-time parents all over again in all the best ways. Soaking in every second of this sweet time that is already going by far too quickly.

| Yes, that is one dimple of her matching set. Love, love, love. |

And even though the transition to three on the first week of school for our second-grader(!) and his principal dad has been, well, a transition, nothing has ever felt more natural than the sweet little chaos of a crying newborn, her doting albeit competitive big sister and their easygoing big brother who suddenly seems all too grown up to his weepy postpartum mom.

| Though I do not love staying at the hospital, I always get a little sad when my babies are old enough to head home. |
Much more to come. But for now, please allow me to show off my adorable little girl...
