I am a working mommy who tries to be two places at once. I love my job but I miss my kids and do my best to make our time together special every day. Andy is a principal who loves working with kids but hates wearing a tie. We are bewitched by the two little people who fill our home with giggles and dancing (and, to be fair, a good balance of whining and temper tantrums). We laugh a lot, don’t always fight fair, and remain hopeful.
I take heart that none of that has changed in the face of heartbreak. Our sweet look-a-like little boys, Andrew and Benjamin, were stillborn in October 2011. Words I never thought would be mine to say: I have two kids on earth and two more in heaven. Though I must daily find the balance between the joy and disappointment of it all, I remain hopeful that amazing things are yet to come in the everyday living with one great husband and two amazing kids.
I am a mom who has lost a whole lot, but I am determined to be happy with all the amazing things I've still got.
